For the month of December the EMS Division handled 126 calls for service.
First due - 106 calls

For the month of December the Fire Division handled 21 calls for service. Station 403 responded to 13 calls and Station 405 responded to 14 calls.

Fire Training: At the monthly fire training the fire crews worked on handline advancement. On Saturday December 7th several drivers spent the day at the Lancaster County Public Safety Training Center getting familiar with pumping the new Tanker 405.

EMS Training: There was no formal department EMS training this month. Several members worked on individual training such as annual con-ed training, AEMT class, driver training and crew chief training.

Community Relations: The department participated in three community relations events this month. Friday December 3rd Truck 403 and Ambulance 402 assisted the Intercourse Merchants Association with their Christmas Village event. The Tower gave bucket rides and did a show and tell of the unit along with Ambulance 403. The crew also participate in the welcoming of Santa to the event and well as joining in on the Christmas Caroling. On Saturday December 14th a crew with Squad 403 assisted with delivering wreaths to local cemeteries apart of the Wreaths Across America event which provides wreaths for the graves of veterans over the holidays. The final event was on Friday December 20th which was our annual Christmas lights parade. We teamed up with Intercourse Fire Company to escort Santa around town.
