For the month of August the Fire Division handled 21 calls for service. Station 403 responded to 19 calls and Station 405 responded to 7 calls.

In August we hosted two companywide EMS trainings. The first was a training on drowning incidents. Crews met at a members pool and were taught valuable skills from a cross trained certified lifeguard/paramedic who was able to teach invaluable skills from both side of the call. The second was a joint training with the fire division and PPL who brought out their live electrical safety trailer. PPL staff spent the evening review electrical hazards when it comes to live electrical lines and service. EMS crews regularly can encounter these situations with vehicles accident that involve telephone poles.
Individually, several members continued progressing through crew chief training, driver training, completed annual continuing education for certification and participated in impromptu skill labs during duty shifts throughout the month.
For the month of August we several companywide fire training. The first was on a evening focused on truck work. The second was a prep for our annual burn. The third was a silo fire awareness class taught by RescueTechs LLC. The fourth was our annual burn which took place at Wester Chester burn building. Finally we closed the month out with a joint training with EMS and Intercourse Fire Company with the PPL live electrical safety trailer. Individually each station (403 and 405) held an inhouse training with their respective crews.
